At least a dozen people were injured, some of them seriously, in an explosion at a residential building in western Germany on Thursday. A senior security official gave this information. North Rhine-Westphalia’s Interior Minister Hebert Riel told the regional legislature that 10 firefighters and two police officers were injured in the blaze at the multi-storey building in Rantingen.
