Amit Shah on Congress: Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a one-day visit to Assam on Thursday (May 25) and lashed out at the Congress party for boycotting the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building. On the completion of two years of the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led BJP government in the state and handing over appointment letters to 44,703 selected candidates for various government departments, Union Home Minister Shah claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be elected for the third consecutive term after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Will become the PM and the Congress will not even be able to get its current seats in the Lok Sabha.
Home Minister Shah predicted to win so many seats
Shah accused the Congress of having a negative attitude and doing politics by boycotting the scheduled inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building. According to news agency PTI, Shah said,Narendra Modi Will become the Prime Minister again next year with more than 300 seats. The Congress has lost the status of being an opposition party and will not be able to get even the number of seats it currently has in the Lok Sabha.
Congress accused of doing politics by making excuses
Shah said, “The attitude of the Congress is negative. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the new Parliament building on May 28, but the Congress is doing politics by boycotting the function on the pretext that the President should inaugurate it.
The Union home minister claimed that there have been instances in Congress and opposition-ruled states where the foundation stones of new assembly buildings were laid by the respective chief ministers and leaders like Sonia and Rahul Gandhi instead of the respective governors.
‘Congress does not allow PM to speak inside Parliament’
Shah alleged, “The Congress does not allow the Prime Minister to speak inside the Parliament. The people of India have given Modi the mandate to speak. Not respecting the PM is like disrespecting the mandate.
‘The rest of the jobs will be given in the next six months’
Home Minister Shah said that before the 2021 assembly elections, BJP had promised to provide one lakh government jobs in Assam and within two and a half years, 86,000 jobs have been given. He said that the remaining jobs will be given in the next six months.
