Mumbai : Bollywood’s famous singer Arijit Singh is in limelight these days due to a controversy. His New Year concert at Eco Park, Kolkata has been cancelled. After which politics in West Bengal is at its peak. At the same time, the statement of the BJP leader has also come to the fore. Giving political color to the cancellation of Arijit Singh’s concert, BJP leader Amit Malviya has blamed Mamta Sarkar for this.
Amit Malviya says that the reason for cancellation of Arijit Singh’s show is that Arijit Singh sang Shah Rukh Khan’s song ‘Rang De Tu Mohe Gerua’ in front of Mamta Banerjee. Due to which she is scared. Amit Malviya tweeted and wrote, ‘When Mr. Amitabh Bachchan talked about less space for civil liberties and freedom of expression at the Kolkata Film Festival, he was shocked. Arijit Singh who sang ‘Rang de tu mohe gerua’ with Mamata Banerjee on stage, now his show at Ecopark has been canceled by West Bengal government body HIDCO.

On the other hand, State Minister and Mayor of Kolkata Firhad Hakim explained the reason for cancellation of Arijit Singh’s show and said that permission was not given for Arijit Singh’s program because the G-20 program was scheduled to be held right in front of Eco Park. For which the police felt that it would be difficult to handle the huge crowd in the program, hence Arijit Singh’s concert had to be cancelled.
