CBI gets big success before presenting Sisodia in court, deleted files found from computer


Manish Sisodia News: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has retrieved deleted files and data from the computer of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, arrested in connection with alleged corruption in the scrapped liquor policy. In January, the CBI seized the computer. Upon discovering that some data had been deleted, it sent the computer to the Forensic Science Laboratory to retrieve it. Now the forensic department has sent him a report with data and files. The FSL report states that these files were initially shared through WhatsApp and then saved in Manish Sisodia’s computer. Later they were removed.

The computer was seized from Sisodia’s office. Before visiting Sisodia’s office, CBI had given notice under section 91 of CrPC, CBI had filed charge sheet in this case. According to a source, the agency is in the process of filing a supplementary charge sheet in the case and hence they want to collect more evidence to strengthen the case.

‘Evidence recovered from Sisodia’s computer’
The source said, evidence has been recovered from Sisodia’s computer, the case is now stronger. Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on Sunday in the excise policy scam after a day’s political drama.

Sisodia, who reached the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) headquarters at south Delhi’s Lodhi Road around 11.10 am after visiting Rajghat, was questioned for over eight hours before his arrest. On the other hand, on Monday, he was produced in the Rouse Avenue Court where a decision on his remand is to be taken. On the other hand, the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party opposed his arrest and made serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party including the central government.
