He said that we will analyze where we went wrong. We will see our shortcomings at various levels, rectify them and reorganize it and return to the Lok Sabha elections. In the latest trends of Karnataka assembly elections, Congress is leading on 137 seats out of which the party has won 36 seats. On the other hand, BJP is ahead in 45 seats and has won 17 seats. JDS is ahead in 21 seats.

Earlier, the CM had said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has failed to leave its mark in this election. We could not make a mark despite a lot of efforts by everyone including the Prime Minister and party workers. We will work as a responsible opposition in the days to come. At the same time, senior BJP leader and former CM BS Yeddyurappa said that we will introspect about the defeat of the party. Party workers need not bother with these election results.
