Deepika Padukone is Desi at heart, Time magazine cover page photo made Instagram DP, but name written in Hindi

• New Delhi: Deepika Padukone’s picture appeared on the cover page of Time magazine, with the caption given – ‘The Global Star – Deepika Padukone who is bringing the world to Bollywood’. With this, India’s most successful and popular female superstar has cemented her place as the country’s global brand ambassador.

The whole world has recognized the influence of Deepika Padukone, however Deepika remained deeply connected to her roots. She managed to achieve a lot on the global stage. Representing the country and its rich culture abroad, Deepika Padukone has also written her name in Hindi on her Instagram profile.

While stars are often known to adapt and fit into the fabric of western culture, Deepika has emerged as an exception. She truly represents India. She has come in the list of personalities like Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, whose pictures have appeared on the cover page of Time magazine.

Speaking to Time magazine, Deepika said, ‘My mission has always been to make a global impact while keeping roots in my country. This is the time of India. India is from our roots, our heritage, our history, but a new and young India is also emerging. These two Indias are coming together which I find really attractive at the moment. Deepika Padukone will next be seen in the film ‘Project K’, which also stars Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. She is also doing the film ‘Fighter’ with Hrithik Roshan.
