Pakistan’s former PM Imran Khan is in trouble in the Toshakhana case. Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is facing corruption charges in the Toshakhana case, has formed a committee to lead his party, reported news agency Reuters. A vehicle in the PTI chief’s convoy met with an accident on Saturday while going to Islamabad in connection with the Toshakhana case hearing.
Accompanied by a convoy of his party workers, the PTI chief left his residence in Zaman Park, Lahore and was on his way to Islamabad when the accident occurred. However, Khan’s car was safe and no one was hurt. Imran Khan said that I have formed a committee which will clearly decide once, if I stay inside the jail.
Before leaving for Islamabad, he told Reuters in an interview at his Lahore home that he had 94 cases registered against him. He made this statement before appearing before the court which issued the arrest warrant. Khan, who has several cases against him, said there is no reason to arrest him now as he has got bail in all his cases.
The former Prime Minister of Pakistan said that the establishment is somehow feeling threatened by me. If convicted in any of the cases, Khan could be disqualified from contesting the elections due in November. “My life is in even greater danger than it was then,” he said, adding that he was concerned about the reaction to his arrest or any attempt to assassinate him. “I think there will be a very strong reaction, and it will be a reaction across Pakistan.
