Maryam Nawaz, daughter of Nawaz Sharif and senior vice-president of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), mocked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, saying the whole game is over after senior members of her party quit the party. It’s over Maryam Nawaz delivered a speech in Pakistan’s Vehari while addressing the youth convention of PML-N. Maryam Nawaz mocked Imran Khan’s party over the mass departure of PTI leaders, saying there were questions about those leaving the party. The exodus of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders began when security forces launched a crackdown against the party following attacks on civilian and military institutions, including the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi and the Lahore Corps Commander’s House (Jinnah House). More than 70 lawyers and leaders of the party have severed ties with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf after the May 9 pogrom.

The PML-N senior vice president said that Imran Khan is the mastermind of the May 9 “terrorism”, but his cadres are facing anti-terror court. The Pakistan-based The Express Tribune newspaper reported that this came amid mounting pressure on his top allies and supporters, with thousands arrested and many leaving his party.
