Mumbai: Delhi left-handed batsman Nitish Rana, who has struggled to score runs in the Ranji Trophy, is hopeful that he will be able to keep the rhythm for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023). Will play some strong innings after getting it. Rana (Nitish Rana) was dropped from the Ranji team after scoring 14, 40 and a zero. However, he returned to the team for the last league match of the season, scoring 11 and six not out against Mumbai.
T20 is Rana’s favorite format and he has played many good innings for KKR over the years. He has scored runs in 161 matches in this shortest format of the game at a strike rate of 136. The left-handed batsman shared his practice video on social media where he is seen batting aggressively.

Rana (Nitish Rana) said in a press conference here, “I am really looking forward to the IPL of this season. I am practicing hard and focusing on the finer points of my game. My mental state is strong and I am sure that I will be able to contribute to the team’s success.” Rana has been practicing with his KKR teammates under the supervision of former Mumbai legend Abhishek Nayar.
“It was great to meet my teammates at the camp. I have always said that KKR is like family to me and I enjoy playing for this team. I have been working on my bowling as well, which is a big thing for my game.
The player also praised head coach Chandrakant Pandit and assistant coach Nair. “Both Chandu sir and Nair have been inspirational in this preparatory camp and helped me discover and enhance my potential,” he added.
