After this, Lokesh Rahul, who came out to bat, along with Shubman Gill, took the score to 39 runs in the first 10 overs. Gill then returned to the pavilion after playing an innings of 20 runs. From here Captain Rahul got the support of Captain Hardik Pandya and together they shared a 44-run partnership for the 5th wicket in just 55 balls to bring the team back into the match.

Team India had lost its 5 wickets till the score of 83 in this match, after that Ravindra Jadeja, who came to bat on the field, continued to increase the score along with Rahul. A match-winning 108-run partnership was seen between the two for the 6th wicket, on the basis of which the Indian team achieved this target at the loss of 5 wickets in 39.5 overs. In Australia’s bowling, Mitchell Starc took 3 while Marcus Stoinis took 2 wickets.
