New front ready without Congress? Mamta Banerjee and Akhilesh Yadav agreed

Mamata Banerjee Meets Akhilesh Yadav: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav have formed a new front with mutual consent without including the Congress. Both the top leaders have met in Kolkata on Friday (March 17). Mamta Banerjee is also going to meet Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal chief Naveen Patnaik next week.

Giving information about the meeting of the two leaders, the Samajwadi Party tweeted that Akhilesh Yadav paid a courtesy call on the residence of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee along with senior leaders of the party.

“BJP wants Rahul Gandhi to be the face of opposition”

After the meeting of the two leaders, TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay said that Rahul Gandhi made the remarks while going abroad and till he apologizes, the BJP will not allow the Parliament to function. BJP wants Rahul Gandhi as the face of opposition which will help BJP. There is no need to decide on the face of the PM.

“The ability of regional parties to compete with BJP”

He said that on March 23, CM Mamta Banerjee is going to meet Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik. Along with other opposition parties, we will talk about a plan to maintain equal distance from BJP and Congress. We are not saying that this is the third front, but the regional parties have the capability to compete with the BJP. It is an illusion to think that Congress is the ‘Big Boss’ of the opposition.

“Everyone in the country wants change”

Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav took part in Samajwadi Party’s worker’s conference in Kolkata. In the worker’s conference, Akhilesh Yadav said that everyone in the country wants change. No other party would ever have caused as much damage to the country as the Bharatiya Janata Party. In Uttar Pradesh, we are going to contest elections with the parties which are in alliance with the Samajwadi Party.
