Weather took a toll, severe cold from mountains to plains, know tomorrow’s weather


IMD Weather Updates: The weather pattern has changed in the country. When the weather took a turn, from the mountains to the plains, the cold of the cold has started to be felt. The weather is expected to change due to the Western Disturbance. According to the Meteorological Department, on New Year’s Eve i.e. December 31, most parts will have to face cold wave and severe cold. Apart from this, the winter is expected to increase further in the national capital in the beginning of January.

According to the Meteorological Department, the entire North India including Delhi is still under the influence of Western Disturbance. However, due to the warm moist winds blowing from the Gulf region, people have also got slight relief from the cold, but this relief will not be available for long. Scientists believe that once again there will be a drop in the minimum temperature in the coming days.

Dense fog in next 24 hours

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense fog in different areas of Punjab, Haryana, Bihar during the next 24 hours. Apart from this, there is a possibility of dense fog to very dense fog in isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh for the next 3 to 4 days. Here, if we talk about Uttar Pradesh, there is a possibility of dense fog in isolated parts of Uttar Pradesh during December 30 to January 3 and in northern Rajasthan during December 31 to January 3.

There will also be a drop in temperature

The minimum temperature is very likely to increase by 2-3°C over plains of northwest India during next 24 hours and gradually decrease by 3-5°C during subsequent 2 days. During January 2 to January 3 next year, apart from Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, there is a possibility of cold wave conditions in different parts of western Uttar Pradesh and northern Rajasthan.

No significant change is likely in the minimum temperatures over many parts of East India during next two days and thereafter a further drop of 2 to 3 degree Celsius. There is a possibility of a cold day situation on 30 December in many areas of Uttarakhand.
