The command of the 15-member team has been handed over to Harmanpreet Kaur. At the same time, the vice-captain of the team will be Smriti Mandhana. The Women’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to begin on February 10. The first match of this tournament is going to be between South Africa and Sri Lanka.

Before the T20 World Cup, the Indian team will participate in the T20 series of three countries. This tri-series is also going to be played in South Africa only. The BCCI has also announced an 18-member squad for this tri-series. However, fast bowler Pooja Vastrakar can join the squad only after passing the fitness test. Apart from India, South Africa, West Indies team will also participate in this tri-series. This series will start from 19 January. Harmanpreet Kaur will be the captain of the Indian team for this series as well.
