Dubai: The winner of the World Test Championship Final between India and Australia will get $1.6 million as prize money ($1.6 million) while the runner-up will get $800,000. The ICC announced this on Friday. The ICC Test Championship final will be played at The Oval from June 7 to 11.

The prize money of the tournament is the same as that of the World Test Championship 2019-21. At that time the New Zealand team, captained by Kane Williamson, won $1.6 million in prize money and a glittering mace. All nine teams will get a share of the total prize money of $3.8 million for the World Test Championship.

South Africa will get $450,000 for finishing third in 2021-23. England will get $350,000 for finishing fourth. Sri Lanka will be given $200,000 for finishing fifth. Rest of the teams will get one lakh dollars each. (agency)
